New Collaboration: Smithsonian Gardens
Living in Washington, DC for the past 14 years, I have loved visiting the Smithsonian Institution Museums along the National Mall. Each museum richly exhibits aspects of our common history – natural and cultural.
The Smithsonian Institution also houses an extensive collection of plants. Orchids, perennials, native crops and trees create a collection that, managed by Smithsonian Gardens, invites visitors to learn, relax and enjoy.
For the next 2 years, I'll be contracting with the Smithsonian Gardens to photograph their Tree Collection along the National Mall. I'm excited at the opportunity to work with the Institution, learn about trees and develop a collection of photographs for the National Archives.
